Do I have a chance in college football?

Question by vycjkb2010: Do I have a chance in college football?
I graduated highschool a year ago and man do i regret not playing football. I have recently started keeping up with the nfl and now football has become my life, its all i think and talk about. I have always played in flag football tournaments and a little pick up tackle here and there, and i have always been pretty athletic, but I want to know if there is anything i can do to play college.

I am currently enrolled at U of South Fl now in a premed major. I dont hate it, but I feel like its not what I want…football is my dream…especially playing QB. I have gotten in contact with a former NFL QB in the area and he is willing to do paid one-on-one training with me. I already have decent mechanics and usually am the QB when I play with my friends, and am quite good (decent strength and accuracy). Obviously, having never played highschool, I have never even put on pads or adjusted to read defenses or any of that stuff. I am seriously thinking of taking off next semester and training full-time with this coach. My size is not the greatest for QB position (6’1 185 lbs), but I am committed to putting on a good 15 lbs and hey Drew Brees is 6’0 and Mike Vick is 5′ 11″ and look where they are.

My commitment would be a solid 110%….I know not a lot is going for me having very limited experience but I am hanging onto the phrase “nothing is impossible”….has anyone heard of a success story of this nature or think I have a chance to walk onto USF after a good year of professional training???

Please any input would help

Thanks
